The Best Vegan and Carnivore Potstickers

Our potstickers are absolutely scrumptious. To please all the diners, we've provided meaty and vegan filling options

Recipe
Potsticker Dough (makes 40)
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup hot water
Directions:
1. Sift the flour and salt into a large mixing bowl.
2. Add the hot water, little by little, stirring lightly in between additions.  Keep adding the water until you can form the dough into a ball.
3.  Let the ball sit, covered with a damp cloth for an hour.
4. On a floured surface, knead the dough for 5-6 minutes.
5. Shape the dough into a log and cut off 40 pieces.
6. Roll out into a 3-3.5 inch circle. Use a cookie cutter to cut them out.
7. Wrap the wrappers in plastic wrap until you are ready to use them; otherwise, they will dry out.

Potsticker Filling:
Sesame Chicken Filling
  • 1 pound ground chicken*
  • 3 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 – 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 3 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions:
  1. Combine all ingredients. Spoon 1 tablespoon into the wrapper.
  2. Heat a 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add potstickers to pan in a single layer. Cook until golden, about 2 minutes.
  4. If you like crispy potstickers you can continue to cook until done and crispy on both sides. 
  5. You can choose to bake them at 350 for 20 minutes.

*Here are some other filling ideas:
  • Chicken and broccoli with black bean paste
  • Pork and ginger
  • Carrots, onion, cabbage, and red curry paste
  • Asparagus, tofu, fava beans, garlic, and ginger

You can swap out, pound for pound,  the chicken for any of these combinations.
